Companies can decide whether or not customers have to wear masks in their buildings. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have not updated their COVID-19 guidelines for fully vaccinated people since they announced that they could resume their pre-pandemic activities. In particular, individuals who are fully vaccinated can resume their activities both inside and outside without wearing a mask or social distancing, unless this is permitted by laws, rules and regulations on federal, state, local, tribal or territory level, including local business and workplace policies, required. In the United States, over 286 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered and 39.3% of the population have been fully vaccinated, according to the CDC. Despite the CDC’s recommendations for masks for the fully vaccinated, the university did not change its guidelines for wearing masks in ASU buildings until May 13. The Arizona Department of Health reported a total of 450 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in the state on Monday. Over 3.2 million Arizonans received at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 45.3% of the state’s population, ADHD reported. ASU students, faculty and staff can register for a vaccination appointment via the ASU health portal. Students can also go to the ASU Health Service for a vaccine. There are over 470 places to get vaccinated in Maricopa County, including places like Walgreens, Fry’s, and larger places like Desert Financial Arena. One can also sign up for a vaccination appointment on the ADHD website, and walk-ins are accepted at any of the Arizona state POD locations listed on the website.
