Here are the top stories in Phoenix today: Thanks to a partnership between the city and the Vincere Cancer Center, the Phoenix Police and Fire Department have a new, cutting-edge cancer detection technology completely free of charge. The early detection test is called “Galleri”. The city hopes the test will save lives as occupational cancer cases rise. (FOX 10 News Phoenix) Sky Harbor’s Compassion Cacti program aims to provide extra assistance to travelers with hidden disabilities. The program provides special lanyards for people with hidden disabilities to help airport staff identify them. Anyone suffering from dementia or traveling with someone who has dementia can apply for the program for additional assistance at the airport. (KJZZ) Phoenix Restaurant Tratto earned a coveted spot on the New York Times “2021 Restaurant List”. Tratto was founded by award-winning chef Chris Bianco. The restaurant prepares food and drinks in collaboration with farmers, ranchers, millers and local artisans. (Phoenix Patch) Phoenix building permits tended to decline in the summer, although they were still nearly 30 percent higher than they were at that time last year.
