Either stroll through the millions of twinkling lights or enjoy them from the comfort of your vehicle. It’s your decision! No matter how you choose to experience ZooLights, rest assured that it is one of the best places to see the Christmas lights in Arizona. During these uncertain times, please keep your safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list for a later visit. For the second year in a row there are two different ways to experience ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo. On select nights through January 15, you can either drive or stroll through millions of dazzling lights and animal sculptures. Creatures from all parts of the world are presented in thematic exhibition areas. In just a few hours you can visit the African savannah, rainforest and sea. Not to mention the omnipresent holiday mood that underpins the entire event! Of course, the zoo had to add a bit of Arizona to its decorating style. How cute are these saguaro “Christmas trees”? Trees are wrapped in colorful lights that are reflected on the huge lake in the center of the zoo. Enjoy two enchanting light shows over the water synchronized to classic, recognizable Christmas carols. Other activities include an art exhibition, community performances, a three-story Christmas tree, and a carousel. Young children can also pose for photos with Santa, and festive goodies like kettle corn and hot cocoa can be purchased. ZooLights walk-thru tickets are $ 20 per person ($ 16 for members). Children up to two years of age have free entry. The opening times are from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on selected nights until January 15th. Cruise ZooLights tickets are only valid on December 13th and 14th and on January 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th. The cost is $ 75 per vehicle ($ 60). For members). Opening times are 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Tickets are sold in two-hour blocks, and first come, first served applies.
