Thu, 10/14 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Phoenix @ 269 • 269 Amherst Street, Buffalo New York 14207 Here’s a great opportunity to see BSA Michael Killelea’s watercolors while enjoying fine dining. Mike’s work is on display at Phoenix @ 269 – a restaurant on 269 Amherst Street in Buffalo. The vernissage will take place on Thursday, October 14th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The art will be there until December 27th. Mike is a Navy veteran, outdoorsman, and artist who loves working in the open air. His work has been featured in many galleries and publications. “I love to paint in the open air. There is an immediacy on site that demands honesty from any artist willing to surrender to the elements. An artist cannot experience a scene in a studio the way it can outdoors. For me this is one of the purest forms of painting because success requires a very conscious approach. I find that painting outdoors is usually a very intense and even physical experience. ”
