PHOENIX – (BUSINESS WIRE) – 5. October 2021–

Sun Jones, DNP, RN, FNP-BC of the University of Phoenix College of Nursing, serving as the Systematic Plan for Evaluation and Curriculum Leader, will participate in the first in a two-part series of panels on Covid-19 and Health Equal Opportunities presented by The Arizona Public Health Association (AZPHA) is held this Friday, October 8, 2021, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. PST.

The panel events “Covid-19 & Health Equity in Arizona” will take place in the form of a virtual panel discussion in two parts: “Part I: How do we reach communities” on Friday, October 8th, and “Part II: Where will the data lead us? “On Friday October 22nd.

Dr. Jones is working closely with the Phoenix community support to ensure access to vaccines and treatment for its citizens.

“As a home nurse, I have noticed the challenges my Korean community members have faced in accessing health care, particularly with the COVID-19 vaccination in the first few months of this year. So I ran and organized COVID-19 vaccination events for my Korean parishioners as well as all parishioners in the Asia-American Pacific Islands, ”shares Sun Jones, DNP, RN, FNP-BC. “We have had several very successful events in the valley and continue to plan to continue our efforts. I look forward to sharing my experiences and perspectives in this panel. “

The series focuses on identifying equitable Covid testing and vaccination strategies, discussing vaccination reluctance, and how to reach underserved populations and build relationships with priority populations.
