PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE) – The Murrieta / Wildomar Chamber of Commerce has named MilVet as the 2021 Nonprofit Organization for its work in helping military families.

MilVet.Org was founded by Raven Hilden, a 2014 graduate of the University of Phoenix. Hilden, a spouse in the military, founded the nonprofit 501c3 to serve hundreds of veteran families and thousands of soldiers and soldiers around the world. The work of their organization includes a military supply package for deployed troops, support for military families, assistance for veterans with reintegration into society after their return, as well as free rehabilitation and therapy programs for needy veterans.

“Receiving this award is a great honor to be with other nonprofits that do such great work like Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club, Elks Lodge, American Legion and more,” said Hilden, Founder and CEO by MilVet. “I am so proud of our MilVet team and the volunteers who work tirelessly and put their hearts and souls into their work. Our success is possible thanks to you, our great community, the Murrieta / Wildomar Chamber and all of our supporters. ”

Hilden knows firsthand the unique battles that military families face. Her husband served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years and was partially amputated due to injuries sustained while on duty. Her son-in-law also served as a paratrooper in the army and is disabled due to work-related injuries.

Hilden also received the 2020 Major Fannie Griffin-McClendon Fellowship from the University of Phoenix and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Foundation. The scholarship program supports military families in their college studies and helped Hilden complete her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix.
