PHOENIX (AP) – A union that represents the largest group of restaurant workers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport ended a strike against the largest concessionaire after 10 days.

The strike by HMS Host employees, represented by Unite Here Local 11, went over wages, health insurance and pension contributions, according to the union, and followed four years of negotiations.

The union said on Wednesday that its workers would be back to work on Thursday and their representatives would return to the negotiating table.

“Our intention with our strike was to draw more attention to the company’s stinginess after four years of negotiations, at a time when the company would be forced to recognize the value of our workforce most – Thanksgiving,” union member Victoria Stahl said it in a press release. “We have done that and are now ready to return to the negotiating table.”

At the beginning of the strike on November 22, the union said the workers would continue on strike until HMS Host agreed to comply with their demands.

The company said at the start of the strike it was offering significant wage increases, a bonus and benefits, including paying 90% of employee health care bills.
