ZOOM with Patricia Lea Watts from Ecoartspace Monday, September 27th at 5 p.m. Virtual event, hosted by breakfast club artists Patricia Lea Watts is the founder of ecoartspace, a membership platform for artists who deal with environmental issues. Register in time to receive the zoom link. “Some Like It Hot” Tuesday, September 28th at 6:30 pm Orpheum Theater at 203 W. Adams Street. Friends of the Orpheum Theater, Downtown Phoenix, Inc. and FilmBar bring the classic “Some Like It Hot” to the big Canvas. Tickets are $ 11 for children and $ 16 for adults. Jack Trivia Wednesday, September 29th, 5-8pm Tap That Downtown at 909 N. Fifth Street. Bring your brightest friends for a fun night out. Enjoy a 20% discount on the tap wall and selected happy hour items. Music Open Mic Thursday September 30th at 7:00 pm El Charro Hipster Bar & Cafe at 1325 NW Grand Ave. Registration opens at 7:00 p.m. and performances start at 7:30 p.m. Will you miss the event this week? First Friday Free admission to the museum Friday, October 1st Downtown Phoenix The first Friday in October offers free admission to: Heard Museum from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Masks are strongly recommended for all visitors regardless of their vaccination status.) Phoenix Art Museum from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ( A close-fitting mouth and nose mask is strongly recommended to all visitors and employees of the museum.) Children’s museum, from 5 p.m. (mask compulsory from 2 years, regardless of vaccination status.) Black Marketplace buy Saturday, October 2 from 6 – 10 p.m. 918 N Second Street. Archwood Exchange hosts and organizes the Buy Black Marketplace, which takes place in downtown Phoenix on the first Saturday of each month. The event features food, shopping and music. Soulitify Sunday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. Copper Blues at 50 W. Jefferson Street. Soulitify is a cover band influenced by R&B, Pop and Latin that performs at this free event.
