Teen dies after speeding driver crashes car in south Phoenix, police say | Arizona News

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A teenage boy is dead after a driver lost control of his car and hit a pickup truck in southern Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon. Police said a 19-year-old and two 18-year-olds were in a Nissan Altima heading west when the driver lost control and pulled into the east lanes and a 3/4 ton Chevy around 12:30 p.m. -Pickup met. The one-year-old passenger named Edward Crocker was thrown from the Altima and died on the scene, police said. The 19-year-old Altima driver and the 58-year-old driver of the truck were rushed to hospital with serious injuries that are not classified as life threatening. The other 18-year-old passenger is also seriously injured, but is said to survive.
