MESA, AZ – Swoop airline flights between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Winnipeg are expected to resume in November. Swoop is a Canadian ultra-low-cost airline that offers affordable domestic flights as well as flights to the US and Mexico. It began with flights between Winnipeg and Phoenix-Mesa Airport in late 2019, but has been suspended due to pandemic travel restrictions. Swoop also offers connections between Phoenix-Mesa and Edmonton and Toronto. “We are proud to work with Swoop to restore service interrupted during the pandemic and help our community gain access to more sought-after destinations,” said Barry Rempel, President and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority in a September press release. Travelers leaving Canada and entering Canada are usually required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
