City of Phoenix press release: July 19, 2021 The City of Phoenix offers a unique renovation opportunity for a full-service restaurant on the edge of Hance Park. The former fire station on the corner of First and Moreland Street will soon be opened for rental, refurbishment and operation as a full-service restaurant. The fire station is the only restaurant location that is directly connected to the newly designed park. Small businesses have the opportunity to become part of a team that proposes converting the fire station into a restaurant. Developers and restaurateurs are encouraged to turn to small businesses for goods, services, groceries, equipment, furniture, and more. To make it easy for small businesses to introduce themselves to proposing teams, Phoenix is ​​hosting the FastPITCH Firehouse. This unique opportunity puts small businesses in the spotlight to make quick presentations to an audience of proposing teams simultaneously. This is followed by a chance for development teams to discuss the potential of small businesses to link their suggestions to the city to create the next restaurant hotspot in Phoenix. Later this year, Phoenix will make a formal request for offers to rent, adaptive reuse of the building, complete improvement and operation of a full-service restaurant in the former fire station.
