For this reason, on Friday, July 23rd, during the Best Night Ever: A Modern Boy Band Dance Party at the Rebel Lounge, 2303 East Indian School Road, you will see bodies moving on the dance floor. Inspired by legendary boy bands One Direction and the Jonas Brothers, the event features DJs playing hits from both acts, as well as other pop tunes from similar modern groups. The Valley Indoor Football League team has got off to a brilliant start this season and has won seven of the first nine games. Led by quarterback Drew Powell, the Rattlers have fought their way to the top of the leaderboard, defeating competitors like the Tucson Sugar Skulls, Spokane Shock and Green Bat Blizzard. Local indie group Arizona Wrestling Federation welcomed fans to their monthly smackdowns at the New AWF Arena, 3104 West Thomas Road, for all of the slams, spandex and storylines. On Saturday, July 24th, the AWF is hosting its newest event, Summer Explosion, which features over half a dozen games on the evening menu. Lineup highlights include Jimmy Jacobs challenging Andy Palafox for the AWF Championship, Cookies and Cream battling the Brothers of Wrestling for the tag team title, and Women’s Champion Brittnie Brooks versus Viva Van.
