SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Scottsdale-based home builder Taylor Morrison has signed a long-term contract as the presenting sponsor of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

The Thunderbirds – the organization that hosts the Phoenix Open – said Taylor Morrison (NYSE: TMHC) is the second presenting sponsor in the history of the Valley’s premier golf event, which also raises money for Arizona charities.

The agreement begins with the upcoming 2022 tournament, scheduled for February 7-13 at TPC Scottsdale.

“We are very pleased to have Taylor Morrison as our presenting sponsor and look forward to the unique activation that this collaboration will bring this year and throughout the duration of the partnership,” said Dr. Michael Golding, chairman of the WM Phoenix Open tournament 2022, in a statement. “Taylor Morrison’s Arizona charitable efforts are very well established. We are excited to work together to increase the charitable impact of the World Cup Phoenix Open and make an even greater, positive impact on our communities. “

The Phoenix Open, which is nearing its 87th edition, is one of the oldest and most popular events in the Valley, nicknamed “The People’s Open” because of the crowds. It’s also one of the oldest events on the PGA Tour.
