Motorists using Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Interstate 17 in Phoenix and Pima Road in Scottsdale should slow down and exercise caution in the construction zone while the following bans and restrictions apply. NOTE: Crews will be walking west on the Pima Freeway between Seventh Street and I-17 this weekend. There will be another closure this coming weekend (December 10-13) and then no closings or restrictions for the rest of 2021 and the New Years weekend. Weekend Closures and Restrictions Pima Freeway between Seventh Street and Interstate 17 The Pima Freeway westbound will be between Seventh Street and I-17 from Friday, December 3, 10:00 p.m. through Monday, December 6, 5:00 a.m. Locked in the morning. Detour south of the Pima Freeway: Traffic can use Bell Road west to I-17 north to reach the westbound Pima Freeway. Detour North of the Pima Freeway: Motorists can use Deer Valley Road west, on Seventh Street north, then on Happy Valley Road west, then on I-17 south to get on Pima Freeway west Direction to get. State Route 51 on the Pima Freeway State Route 51 northbound to the Pima Freeway westbound will be closed from Friday, December 3, 10:00 PM through Monday, December 6, 5:00 AM due to definitive streaking locked. Detour: Drivers must exit on Black Mountain Boulevard, head west on Deer Valley Drive / Road north to Seventh Street before using Happy Valley Road west and I-17 south to access To get to the Pima Freeway heading west. Alternate Detour: Motorists can also use Bell Road west and then turn north on I-17 to join Pima Freeway west. Pima Freeway Ramps between Cave Creek Road and Seventh Avenue The Pima Freeway ramps west between Cave Creek Road and Seventh Avenue are from Friday, December 3, 10:00 PM through Monday, December 6, 5:00 AM , blocked because of the last strip. Detour: Motorists can use Bell Road west and then I-17 north to access Pima Freeway west. Pima Freeway between Tatum Boulevard and 64th Street The eastern Pima Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes, one by one, between Tatum Boulevard and 64th Street from Friday, December 3, 10:00 PM to Monday, December 6, 5:00 AM To enable new tires. Upcoming Bans and Restrictions Pima Freeway between Interstate 17 and Seventh Street The eastbound Pima Freeway between I-17 and Seventh Street will be open from Friday, December 10th, 10:00 PM through Monday, December 13th, 5th 12:00 AM, Union Hills Drive is closed east to Seventh Street north to access Pima Freeway east. Northbound Detour: Drivers can use Happy Valley Road eastbound to Seventh Street southbound onto Pima Freeway eastbound. Interstate 17 at Pima Freeway The north and south driveways of Interstate 17 to the Pima Freeway, eastbound, are closed from Friday, December 10th 10:00 PM through Monday, December 13th, 5:00 AM. Detour South: Motorists can use Union Hills Drive east to Cave Creek Road or Seventh Street to get east on Pima Freeway. Northbound Detour: Drivers can use Happy Valley Road eastbound to Seventh Street southbound onto Pima Freeway eastbound. 27th Avenue on Pima Freeway The eastbound ramp to Pima Freeway on 27th Avenue is closed Friday, December 10th, 10:00 PM through Monday, December 13th, 5:00 AM (Road), south on 19th Avenue to Union Hills Drive east and north on Seventh Street to join Pima Freeway east. 19th Avenue on Pima Freeway The eastbound ramp to Pima Freeway on 19th Avenue will be closed from Friday, December 10th, 10:00 PM through Monday, December 13th, 5:00 AM. Detour: Motorists can use Union Hills Drive north to Seventh Street north to access Pima Freeway east. Seventh Avenue on Pima Freeway The eastbound ramp to Pima Freeway on Seventh Avenue is closed Friday, December 10th, 10:00 pm through Monday, December 13th, 5:00 am (Road) to Cave Creek Road, to get onto the Pima Freeway heading east.
