PHOENIX, AZ (3TV / CBS 5) – Jason Higgins is the owner of Jupiter Rings Wings & More. After several break-ins in March, burglars targeted the restaurant again shortly before Thanksgiving. A burglar only needed a stone to break into the restaurant. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a stone has been used to damage the building. It’s also not the first time someone has walked in and stolen valuables. A burglar only needed a stone to break into the restaurant. (Source: 3TV / CBS 5) It has gotten so bad that the previous Higgins insurance company for the restaurant canceled its insurance cover. “I had to call another company and get new insurance,” said Higgins. “But now it all has to come out of my own pocket.” This also includes cutting the power cables, which makes the food in the restaurant bad. This also includes the loss of income due to the restaurant closing for the holidays. When Local First Arizona nonprofit found out about Higgins, they wanted him to know he had the resources and options. “We knew we couldn’t wait for something to happen,” said Thomas Barr, vice president of business for Local First AZ. “Our team helped him set up a GoFundMe page. We called a glass company to fix the glass and we called the utility company to see how soon we could turn the power on. ”Barr says if a small business is suffering financially for any reason, reach out to others Nearby small businesses and check out possible grants or loans that are offered by the county. As for Higgins, he’s not giving up this location or his restaurant despite three break-ins in eight months. “If I have to get burglar bars, or whatever it is, if I have to get night security in front of my apartment or the whole mall, that’s what we have to do,” Higgins said. “As I said , I’ll be living in here just so they don’t mess up my things. ”Despite three break-ins in eight months, he’s not giving up this location and restaurant.
