(Source: 3TV / CBS 5) Police stopped a car with an expired license plate at a Jack in the Box near Glendale Avenue and southbound Interstate 17. Sgt. Andy Williams says the driver fired a gun and hit the officer’s patrol car. The driver, whose name was not disclosed, then drove away. Police found the car in a neighborhood about a mile west of the traffic stop. However, the driver was not in the car. There was a massive police presence in the area, including a SWAT team. (Source: 3TV / CBS 5) “A single shot was heard during a search for the suspect and the suspect was found dead in thick bushes with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound,” said Williams from the scene.
