LIMA – A couple of Findlay natives spot unused shops in downtown Lima. Jarrod Bowman and his business partner Monique Altvater recently opened Phoenix Nutrition at 120 N. West St. in Lima, ”said Bowman. Bowman loves what Lima has to offer. “For the most part, this is an untapped market. Our business aims to go into the communities and create an overall value of health and nutrition. So we’re trying to bring nutrition and fitness, try to get people out of fast food restaurants and bring them here, where we can serve them just as quickly and with a healthy meal most of the time, instead of going to McDonald’s and getting whatever they would get, ”said Bowman. You can buy the meal replacement shakes separately from the energy teas, but save money by ordering a combination that includes both Shake, that is your meal itself. That is the content. It has your proteins, it has your carbohydrates, it has your fiber, your sugar. Everything you need to eat is in there. It basically makes up your food pyramid and that will fill you up, ”Bowman said. “We have energizing teas. The couple started a similar project in the Findlay area. “We have a shop like this at home and we were taking people with us and showing them a healthier way to lose weight rather than a keto diet, and we just wanted to expand into a city that doesn’t have that kind of thing yet,” said oldfather. “So we want to introduce it and hopefully also help the people here in Lima to eat healthier diets.” Both of them are happy about the popularity of Phoenix Nutrition so far. “That’s great,” said Grandfather. “I love the people out here. It is picked up every day. We’ve traveled a lot, met new people and visited local businesses, ”said Bowman.
