The basement is cool in every way – that is, it looks neat and holds 57 degrees. The basement was only available for private events, but is now open from Thursday to Sunday evening for parties of two or more people. Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue hosts a character lunch for lovers of the Frozen and Marvel universes from 3pm to 6pm, followed by live music from 6pm to 9pm. Finally, there are pinball games at The Eddy and a food truck recap at Hibachibot. The proceeds from the free event will go to the Foothills Food Bank. The Hourglass Cats are part of the musical line-up for the Canacopia Festival. There will be live music performances by The Hourglass Cats, Jim Bachmann and the Day Drinkers, and Tommy Price and the Stilettos, as well as lawn games and food. Advance tickets online are priced at $ 68 through June 4 and $ 80 on the day of the event. Designated drivers can get on with a $ 25 ticket that includes water, soft drinks, and a snack. Each talk includes hors d’oeuvres and a four-course meal with wine pairings. The first event is $ 225 and the second is $ 250. Reservations are required. Dining for Dreams Dining for Dreams Friday June 11th Your HouseDining for Dreams is back to bring the flavors of Mexico to your kitchen table. The three-course meal is presented by Local First Arizona and showcases the culinary talents of three female chefs who are graduates of the Fuerza Local Business Accelerator program. Each order includes enough food for a family of four, plus warm-up and preparation instructions. You get ceviche with fresh avocado and homemade hot sauce with aguas frescas. This is followed by a seasoned chicken breast filled with ham and Swiss cheese wrapped in bacon and coated with a creamy chipotle-chili sauce, served with rice and vegetables for the second course and a churro bread for dessert.
