DPS: Pedestrian killed in accident on I-17 in Phoenix PHOENIX – Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian that occurred early Thursday morning on Interstate 17 heading south in Phoenix. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred near Bethany Home Road in the early hours of October 28. The right lane of the motorway and the driveway were closed for several hours. DPS has not released any further details about the crash.
