PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A woman died on Monday morning near 14th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 7 a.m. after a two-vehicle accident on Home Road and crossing the red light on 15th Avenue. The truck crashed into a Nissan Sentra driven by 23-year-old Selemawit Negash. Negash drove south on 15th Avenue and got the green light, police say. Police say the force of the impact drove Negash’s Sentra through a block wall and into the courtyard of a house. Negash was admitted to a local hospital but died from her injuries. According to the police, the driver of the truck was slightly injured and taken to the hospital. The unidentified man is suspected of being disabled.
