The year 2020 to 2021 has been largely tarnished by the elections and the pandemic, but New Times reminds us every year of little news and fun aspects of Phoenix that made the past year. There are the usual political categories, all the places to get the best food and drink – but new this year is an entire section on marijuana now that it’s legal. Plus, the Phoenix Suns have won several victories (and The Show’s Lauren Gilger was honored for receiving the Best Radio Host award). Jennifer Goldberg is the New Times arts and culture editor who curated the latest edition of Best of Phoenix.
