Maria Mora Villa, born in Rio Florido, Chihuahua, Mexico to Miguel Mora Valdiviezo and Lucia Martinez, died peacefully on May 25, 2021 at the age of 95 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona, comforted by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren . Married to Pedro Meza Villa (deceased in 2017) for 65 years, they have produced and raised 7 children. She has taught us many things over the course of her life, especially what we have had to appreciate the most: family, hard work, education, and commitment. Although she was always serious and energetic, she was full of love and compassion, always had an open home, with food on the stove, treats on the table, music on the radio, and she had an infectious smile and laugh. At 4’10 “tall, she was strong, lively, quick-witted, and of pure grain. She was an exceptional housewife and seamstress; she occasionally sewed clothing for herself and her family. Her talent extended to her passion for design and manufacture Mexican folkloric dresses. Besides her family, she had a great love for her animals, especially the Chihuahuas. Mama (Nana), thank you for the lessons you taught us, especially for your love and strength. You will be in forever live in our hearts; we all love you so much.
