The city of Phoenix is looking for a team to take over the adaptive renovation and operation of a full-service restaurant in the former building of Hance Park Fire Station No. 4. Located at the intersection of Moreland and First Street in Downtown Phoenix, Station No. 4 opened in 1951 and has direct access to the extensive Hance Park. Every developer and restaurateur proposing the project needs small business contacts, and the city wants to make it easy for small businesses to offer goods, services and groceries to a large number of bidders at the same time through its Phoenix Firehouse FastPITCH. The FastPITCH is something new to Phoenix Community and Economic Development procurement that states that it has been successfully deployed within its range by the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Firehouse FastPITCH begins with an informational event to help companies who have never done this before, get on with their moment in the limelight. “We are very much looking forward to having a good attendance at the Firehouse FastPITCH. Many small businesses don’t know how to grow their business by joining teams that submit proposals to the city, ”said Michelle Pierson, assistant director, Phoenix Community and Economic Development, co-project manager for the Firehouse RFP. “The FastPITCH gives you the opportunity to network and contact providers at the same time.” Timeline information sessions and questions and answers will take place on Tuesday, July 20, 8: 9 pm: Phoenix is holding a virtual information session for small businesses and restaurateurs to learn how to tune your pitch, ask questions and be ready for the Firehouse FastPITCH. 10 a.m .: Potential applicants can attend a virtual information session to learn about the required reach of small businesses. The FastPITCH event will take place on Thursday August 12th (time and location to be announced) and the call for proposals will take place in the fall.
