If you’ve always wanted to explore the local vegan restaurants and diverse plant-based culinary scene, this is your chance. Phoenix Vegan Restaurant Week starts this week on September 12th and lasts until September 18th. During the week, guests can support local vegan businesses in the community and experience specially crafted menus that best represent the many vegan establishments in the Metro Phoenix area. The PHX Vegan Saturday Night Market, which took place on September 11th, served as an exciting prelude to this week-long event. This purely vegan monthly night market with over 40 vegan and vegan-friendly vendors is free and open to the public every second Saturday of the month. Genevieve Feister, owner of Sweet Genevieve’s Vegan Treats, makes and sells a variety of freshly made vegan cookies, muffins, cupcakes, scones and birthday cakes. She became aware of the vegan week and the vegan night market via Instagram and immediately got in touch with the owners to become a seller. “So the night market is fun because you can definitely do more indulgent things … I wanted to be fully indulgent, so I have cookie sams with peanut butter frosting, lots of chocolates and things like that,” Feister said. She was very keen to take part in the vegan week again and would like more salespeople to take part in the future: “The more, the better, more people, more salespeople. I just want it to grow when vegan food becomes more popular. ”Tia Ferguson, owner of the small vegan company Teacup’s Treats, bakes and sells vegan desserts and goodies that are also gluten-free. She also discovered Vegan Week and the Vegan Market through Instagram and felt inclined to apply on Saturday and include more food options as a saleswoman. “I added a few more recipes this time just because it seemed better to have more choices than last time and also add a seasonal option,” she said. For those in the Valley actively looking for plant-based options, this week-long celebration guarantees a memorable dining experience at local Phoenix restaurants like Beaut Burger, Brunch & Sip, and Chilte, who have created a unique vegan and plant-based cuisine that will delight foodies . The Phoenix Vegan Restaurant Week website states: “Every restaurant, be it a restaurant, a food truck or a cart, offers a one, two, three or five-course menu that is unique to that restaurant and is served for dinner, and / or take away, at their location. ”Take a look at what some of the vegan restaurants in and around downtown Phoenix are serving on their menus this week: Location: 5555 N. 7th Street Suite 108, Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
