Phoenix firefighters put out the fire at FOX 10 restaurant overnight, Steve Nielsen reports. PHOENIX – A restaurant in Phoenix was forced to temporarily close on Sunday morning after the owner saw a fire in their video security system at home last night. The fire occurred just before midnight on September 4 at Charley Maes Soul Food near 21st Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The owner reportedly called 911 after seeing excessive smoke from his surveillance cameras. Crews say the flames likely started near the restaurant’s kitchen area, but the damage is minimal – only a single boarded window can be seen from the outside. No injuries were reported.
