Famed Phoenix architecture school founded by Frank Lloyd Wright to close

The Valley Architecture School, founded by the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, will close its doors. The School of Architecture in Taliesin will close at the end of June after the current semester, after its board of directors decided on January 25th after the school was unable to reach an agreement with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to keep it open. The school currently has around 30 students enrolled. Founded in 1932, the school was previously known as the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture until renamed in 2017. Students divide their time between Wright’s retreats at Taliesin West in Scottsdale and Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Read more at the Phoenix Business journal.
