Tamala J. McBath, whose background includes leadership positions in the healthcare sector and has worked as a consultant for a variety of companies, took on the role on November 8th. Lisa Doroma, the former CEO who started the nonprofit 14 years ago, has decided to step back and pursue other opportunities. She will remain involved in the organization and will assist McBath in her transition to the role.
Born in Maryville, Tennessee, McBath came to Arizona at the age of 12 and attended Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. She graduated Christopher Newport University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. After her successful national career in healthcare and management consulting, McBath is excited to return to the region.
“My experiences here played an important role in shaping my values and desires to serve and enable others to develop,” said McBath. “I look forward to getting involved, advancing Dress for Success and expanding its reach and influence in the community.”
Until recently, McBath was President and CEO of The Regal Group, Inc., a Cincinnati-Based consultancy offering business strategy, sales and marketing, and business development solutions for existing companies, startups and acquisitions. Before her time in Cincinnati, McBath was President and CEO of Pearl Consulting Group, a company that provided risk and location assessments, financial, business development, strategic planning, and process improvement services to insurance companies and healthcare facilities. With an extensive background in leadership and business development, McBath plans to bring a new perspective to the company while honoring its legacy.

McBath is currently completing her Executive Masters in Global Management at from Arizona State University Thunderbird school. She is married to Dr. Battinto L. Batts Jr., Dean of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of Arizona. Together they have four daughters, Lyndsay, Mayah, Olivia and Jourdan; and a grandson, Brycen.

Since its inception, the organization has become an important resource in Maricopa district, looks after 1,612 customers in 2020 and attracts more than $ 2 million Value of donations in kind and money.
