PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police have identified the dirt bike rider who was involved in a fatal accident involving a police vehicle in Phoenix on Wednesday evening. Shortly after 6 p.m., an officer in the SUV somehow collided with a dirt bike rider near 39th Avenue and Sweetwater Road, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Anna Justus. The dirt bike rider was taken to hospital in extremely critical condition and later died of his injuries. He was identified as 32-year-old Brant Antwon Deshawn. The officer driving the Tahoe was not injured. Footage from the crime scene showed a dark dirt bike in the middle of the street with debris scattered on the street.
