(Chino Bandido photo) PHOENIX – A celebrated Sino-Mexican-Jamaican merger site will complete its move to its new location in Phoenix on Thursday. Chino Bandido will open its doors daily from 11am to 9pm in its 6,000 square foot restaurant on Third Avenue and Bell Road. Owner Eve Collins announced plans in March to move from its original 31 year old location near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road to a larger, more modern space. Chino Bandido closed the original location on May 9th and has been operating a food truck since May 17th in preparation for the new location. The Bell Road location has a terrace that can seat 30 people in addition to other enhanced features. Pancho, the restaurant’s iconic 7,500-pound custom-made black granite bear, was previously relocated to the new location. Chino Bandido was featured several times in the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”. The fusion restaurant serves everything from jerk chicken to refried beans and snickerdoodles.
