PHOENIX – Canadian airline Swoop will resume winter service at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport next week after the international travel restrictions were recently lifted. Swoop will offer non-stop flights from Winnipeg, Manitoba; Toronto, Ontario; and Edmonton, Alberta, from November 1, the East Valley Airport announced on Tuesday. The Canadian government last week lifted its restrictions on international travel, making seasonal flights possible for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020. The twice-weekly flights are available until the end of April and vary by day depending on the destination. The airline offers unbundled travel with basic tariffs that only cover the seat. Add-ons such as assigned seating, extended legroom, snacks, and checked or carry-on baggage are available at an additional cost. Swoop flies to five US destinations including San Diego, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Follow @ DannyShapiro13 We’d like to hear from you. Do you have a story idea or a tip?
