“I just learned that two of the bears used on your walking show, Bambi and Bruno, were the models for Disney’s Brother Bear.” Bearadise Ranch, sent. After PETA learned from PETA that the two bears used as models for the Disney movie (in which Joaquin starred) were living in the Florida roadside zoo and were forced to appear on a walking show, longtime PETA- Supporters to Welde, hoping she would be looking at the bear’s perspective as the audience saw his brother bear character. “I voiced the main character of the film, Kenai, who is magically transformed as a lesson in empathy to see the world through bear eyes, and now I ask you to see through their eyes too,” wrote Joaquin. “These bears deserve something better than a life on the street, where everything that is natural and important to them is robbed of them, and if you put yourself in their position, you will surely see that too.” The operators of the Bearadise keep the street Ranch the bears in tight transport cages where they can barely turn around, let alone avoid their own litter. During performances, the bears climb ladders, carry a basketball while walking on their hind legs, pull tires over their heads, and perform other tricks – probably out of fear of what will be done to them if they don’t. Florida wildlife officials recently filed a criminal complaint against the owner of Beradise Ranch after she forced a bear to act as a “ring bearer” during a wedding ceremony and led a news team into the bear’s enclosure in his letter, Joaquin offers to help bring the bears to a recognized sanctuary where they will never be exploited for entertainment again. “Would you please consider putting an end to the tricks and travel and giving all the bears in your facility the chance to just live like bears?” He asks Welde. Join Joaquin and PETA to help bears exploited and forced to perform for the Bears of Beradise Ranch walking show! As Joaquin approaches the show’s operators, you can remind event organizers – including those at the Mississippi Valley Fair, which is slated to feature the Beradise Ranch Bear Nude this week – that this archaic form of entertainment should be banned from the history books.
