PHOENIX – After opening the first four grocery stores in the Valley, Aldi announced that it would open two more stores in Phoenix and Queen Creek on December 10th.
One will be in South Phoenix near Loop 202 and Baseline Road. The other is near Ellsworth, north of Rittenhouse Road, in Queen Creek.
Both shops open at 8 a.m. during their regular opening times from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Last year, Aldi finally celebrated its well-known debut in the Valley with store openings in Chandler, Gilbert, Goodyear and Peoria.
It is expected that further locations will be opened around the valley.
ALDI OPENS IN ARIZONA: LOOK IN
The discount grocery previously submitted plans to open stores in Buckeye, Scottsdale and Tempe. However, the company does not appear to confirm any projects until construction begins or stores can open.
Compared to other large grocery stores, Aldi has a smaller footprint and mainly relies on private label stores to keep costs down for consumers.
Customers are also required to bring their own bags or pay for bags at the checkout and pack their own items.
Carts are also available for a $ 0.25 deposit, which is returned to you when you return the cart.
But Aldi has many of the same items and departments as large grocery stores – milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, fries and snacks, ready-made pizzas, frozen foods, lemonade, juices, and fruits and vegetables.
