PHOENIX (3 by your side) – Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers had been researching how to make a home healthy, but abrupt orders that stay at home brought the issue to the fore as many put their home in a school transformed the office and the gym. There is a new shared apartment in Phoenix with a model home that focuses on healthy living. Upon entering, one of the first rooms is equipped with audio, video and exercise equipment Robert McGibney from Home. It’s just one of the features of KB Home’s new healthy living concept. The builder has partnered with Well Living Lab, a collaboration between Mayo Clinic and Delos, to teach home buyers how to optimize their health in the home. “This is the future,” McGibney told 3 On Your Side. “This is how we see it.” Everything starts with construction, from air filter systems to low-VOC materials that emit fewer chemicals into the air. There are also antimicrobial door handles and touchless faucets to help slow the spread of germs. “The contribution of the indoor environment to health is paramount,” said Dr. Veronique Roger, Head of Research at the Well Living Lab. According to Dr. Roger, we spend about 90% of our time indoors, so the choices we make at home have a huge impact on our health. said Dr. Roger “The same goes for a number of other considerations around the home, including air quality, including air filtration and the like.” But you don’t have to move into a brand new building to incorporate some of these ideas into your lifestyle. “It may require a redesign or reconfiguration of the house and thinking about ventilation and filtration systems,” said Dr. Roger And of course a little space to switch off and relax.
