Caraveo says they will offer a reduced program for the foreseeable future, with shows a few nights a week, including a jazz night on Monday and bands on Friday and Saturday. The focus will also be on local artists, he says. “We’re going to try to cut things down and keep the regular Monday evenings and Fridays and Saturdays for now, but maybe [expand] every now and then on one or the other Wednesday and Thursday, ”says Caraveo. “We’re trying to keep it a bit more local instead of touring.” However, live music on Lost Leaf may not last long thanks to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases from the Delta variant. Co-owner Eric Dahl texted the New Times that they may revert to working outdoors only, requiring guests to wear masks, but are considering putting on live music outside. According to Caraveo, it all depends on people’s comfort and other factors. “With cases rising again, we’re not really sure what’s going to happen. It really depends on what Eric and others choose, ”says Caraveo. “Once the weather cools down, it may be easier to move on to more outdoor shows. It all depends on what’s going on. ”
