Developers and restaurateurs are encouraged to turn to small businesses for goods, services, groceries, equipment, furniture, and more. To make it easy for small businesses to introduce themselves to proposing teams, Phoenix is hosting the FastPITCH Firehouse. This unique opportunity puts small businesses in the spotlight to quickly present in front of an audience of teams proposing proposals simultaneously. Then the development teams have the opportunity to discuss the potential of small businesses to link their suggestions to the city to create the next restaurant hotspot in Phoenix. [insert: https://phoenix.gov/econdev/firehouse-fastpitch] FastPITCH Briefing Tuesday, July 20 at 9:00 am: Phoenix is hosting a virtual briefing for small businesses or restaurateurs to learn how to refine their pitch, ask questions, and prepare for the FastPITCH Firehouse. Tuesday, July 20, 10:00 am: Prospective applicants can attend a virtual briefing to learn about the required reach of small businesses. Registration for the FastPITCH information session is required and can be found on the Firehouse restaurant website. The Firehouse FastPITCH Prospective applicants will fill the spots and small businesses or restaurateurs will take the stage to pitch their pitch to the entire group on Thursday, August 12 at Phoenix City Hall. Only previously registered companies or applicants are eligible to participate. Registration opens on July 21st and ends on August 6th. Requests for Quotes Later this year, Phoenix will make a formal request for a quote to rent the building, adaptively reuse the building, complete improvements, and operate a full-service restaurant in the former fire station. The RFP will follow normal urban processes, including the transparency process.
